Tablet of the Nightingale and the Owl

A kind correspondent has brought to my attention the fact that the translation on this site called "Tablet of the Lover and the Beloved" has an incorrect title. This error seems to have occurred because of an error in the contents list of Athar-e Qalam-e Ala volume 4 (revised), as this is presented on the H-bahai site: http://www.h-net.org/~bahai/areprint/baha/A-F/A/aqa4/aqa4.htm.

I have consulted with Juan and have now changed the title of the translation to Tablet of the Nightingale and the Owl. You'll find it under "Nightingale and the Owl". If I listed every tablet as "tablet of", they'd all be found under T!

Tablet of the Lover and the Beloved refers to the tablet in Gleanings, section CLI. It begins: "Release yourselves, O nightingales of God, from the thorns and brambles of wretchedness and misery, and wing your flight to the rose-garden of unfading splendor." It also has the title "Divine Nightingales".

Articles online

I have created a new option "Articles online", which you will see in the Main Menu. Its purpose is to provide a list of web sites that make available for download articles about the faith. This means that if you want to research a particular subject and need to know if anyone has already written on it, you can search each of the sites for relevant material.

I have kept the list as short as possible, which is why just 17 sites are listed. I'm sure single articles are available from scores of sites, but I wanted to focus here on the principal sources with good collections. I will add to the list if further sites come to my attention. So far I have the ones that I found using a Google search.

I have put up another item - this time it is my newly completed introduction to Surah of Sorrows. You can find it in the Introductions section, or just click here (http://whoisbahaullah.com/explore/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=113&Itemid=65).

Introduction to Garden of Justice

I have put up two more items. The first is my introduction to Garden of Justice. You'll find this in the Introductions section. I have also put up a letter Baha'u'llah wrote during his stopover in Istanbul. The letter does not have a title, so I have given it the name "Snow animals letter" because Baha'u'llah mentions in it his reaction to seeing white animals for the first time. You'll find the letter in the Translations section under S.

Introductions moved to new area

I have reorganised the site so that it is easier to access and print the introductions to the translations on this site. I delayed doing this until I had sufficient numbers of introductions to justify creating a new section devoted entirely to them.

You can see that I have created a new link on the Main Menu called "Introductions to translations on this site". This takes you to the alphabetical list of introductions, with links to the introductions themselves. From there, you can print the file, or email it or pdf it, using the little icons at the top right-hand corner beside the heading.

I have removed the text of the introductions from the bottom of the translations.

There are about six translations that do not have introductions or any links to introductory material. These are my next priority. I will focus now on writing introductions for them. In particular, these include Garden of Justice, Surah of Sacrifice, Surah of Sorrows, Surah of the Almighty, and Tablet of Joseph. If you would like to help out and feel able to write an introduction for the site, let me know.
